Highly versatile Full-Stack Microsoft .NET Web Developer with over two decades experience of designing, developing and successfully deploying robust and aesthetically pleasing corporate websites and webservices for government bodies and commercial organisations. Offering a broad range of internet disciplines and know-how including strong Back-End .NET MVC, C#, WebAPI and SQL Server.

Coupled with essential Front-End HTML, CSS, Javascript and React JS skills with a clear appreciation of business inputs and requirements and a firm understanding of how to quickly deliver tangible benefits for Internet companies. Consuming and publishing Webservices being a particular passion and common thread of interest and involvement.

Intending and very much looking forward to re-joining the salaried web development work-space in 2023 after a productive and enjoyable voluntary career break sabbatical.

Tracker UK

Full-Stack Web Developer

Maintained and improved the three Tracker corporate websites and webservices

Worked closely with the Metropolitan Police Liaison Officer and Secure Operating Centre personnel when applying performance upgrades to the Stolen Vehicle Recovery application responsible for reuniting owners with their prized possessions worth over £1million every month.

Upgraded the Fleet Management system and supporting windows and webservices to run in the Amazon Web Service cloud to facilitate the £multi-million sale of the application to a third-party and subsequent smooth migration of 20,000 user vehicles.

Back-end developer within a productive Agile Scrum delivery team within a Continuous Integration environment working closely with Front-end developers and Product, Marketing, SEO, UX, DB, QA and Mobile teams to estimate, prioritise and develop Bookatable's fully responsive cloud-based corporate website responsible for generating over £2million restaurant cover reservations every month.

Investigated and integrated technical solutions surrounding Restaurant Campaign subscriptions and Offer promotions, Dynamic Url routing, Affiliate referral payments, Page Caching, Multilingual content Database Design and sychronisation, Image transformation, Breadcrumb trail, Email feedback and Google Map locations.

Front-End Web Developer

Designed and developed an innovative website called Plaque Guide which provided biographical portraits of commemorative blue plaques erected across London over the centuries. Incorporating Google Maps and Street View API and Ordnance Survey OpenSpace Maps API. Received seed funding from Ordnance Survey after winning 3rd place in the 2010 GeoVation Awards.

Back-end Web Developer

Tasked with designing, developing and supporting a range of XML document exchange Webservices between the on-line Joint Electronic Submission (JeS) system and the seven UK Research Councils responsible for processing research grant funding proposals from the 50,000 strong academic community worth over £1billion every year.

Involved in a number of significant cost-cutting initiatives netting combined efficiency gains estimated in the £100millions including Grant Maintenance, Award Deliverables and Peer Review to mention just a few including the merging of PPARC and CCLRC into STFC.
